Ninety-six cases of eclampsia observed in Soo Do Medical College Hospital during ten years between January, 1955, and. May, 1964 have been presented. The incidence of eclampsia in, this period has decreased from 1: 13.9 to 1:26.6.
The occurrence of eclampsia in clinic patients has been improved by carefut prenatal care and treatment. Maternal mortality has been reduced from 15 to 3.7 per cent in the periods studied.
Perinatal infant mortality has not been improved during the period of study.
